Society Educational Awareness Research Consultancy and Health Organization (SEARCH) is an independent registered non-government and nonprofit civil society organization. SEARCH prime motto is capacity building and services delivery to the deprived and marginalized people of the society. In 2015 a group of educated, dynamic and like-minded youth working in the development sector, got together to establish an organization, for addressing the most urgent and pressing needs of the people of Afghanistan. True to this spirit the organization was named Society Educational Awareness Research Consultancy and Health Organization (SEARCH). Considering their association with the development sector the group was cognizant of the plethora of problems plaguing the country. Consequently, the organization’s focus was not kept limited either in terms of geography or sector. Whilst operating in different provinces of the country, SEARCH has been carrying a range of interventions in the areas of education, health & hygiene, youth & women empowerment, emergency response & preparedness, governance, free legal aid, human rights, etc. The type of activities undertaken by the organization range from capacity building to service delivery, with focus remaining on the deprived and marginalized segments of the society. Whereas in terms of operations what characterizes SEARCH’s functioning are its efforts to (a) enlist involvement of the locals when initiating activities at the grass root level; and (b) mobilize women for bringing peace, tolerance, and development in society.
We envision a prosperous Afghanistan where people are resilient, self-reliant, and are fully enjoying their rights.
To create lasting solutions for community needs, improve their socioeconomic development and advocate for equality and justice for all.
To ensure that human rights of all persons are secure of in their enjoyment of their goods and freedoms that are necessary for dignified living.
SEARCH is now active in the U.S. government's System for Award Management (SAM)
SEARCH Organization’s focus is on the socio-economically disadvantaged groups of women, youth and children. Keeping in view the overall socio-cultural fabric of the society and the overall power imbalances and discriminations that exist at all levels; the focus, amongst these groups, is again on most vulnerable and the marginalized ones. SEARCH Organization also focuses on the inclusion of minorities and special groups
