Society Educational Awareness Research Consultancy and Health Organization (SEARCH) is a nonprofit organization established in Afghanistan in 2015. SEARCH supports vulnerable communities through education, health, hygiene, and capacity-building programs.

SEARCH had computerized financial management system (Double Entry System) operated by SEARCH competent staff. SEARCH operates its financial management through computerized software of QuickBooks. SEARCH financial affairs are governed by Financial Management Policy which meets maximum standards for a national organization. SEARCH maintains separate bank account for the entity, and keeping soft and hard copies of the financial documents. SEARCH has foundations to maintain effective internal controls procedures which will ensure that all financial transactions are approved by an authorized individual and are consistent with organization policies. All organization’s assets are maintained safely and accounting records are complete, accurate and consistent.
SEARCH Organization has a core team with various professional backgrounds such as management, finances and HR etc. In addition, the SEARCH Organization hires the project staff as and when required. The SEARCH Organization also engages volunteers and interns on need basis.

Monitoring of projects in SEARCH Organization is always the important and priority matter. There is always a built in mechanism of review and monitoring for all the projects SEARCH Organization implements. The processes of review and monitoring help Organization in achieving the project objectives in smooth and timely manner. As the key mechanism of monitoring; the projects are monitored by the implementation teams; the coordinators / managers of the program and the management of SEARCH Organization.
SEARCH Organization follows a transparent financial management system with regular auditing and proper accountability for all funds and payments.
SEARCH Organization implements projects with support from national and international donors and has strong experience in effective grant and financial management.
